In iOS 7 Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), has slightly changed the way the Spotlight system works, so that now users can quickly search for applications, web searches or terminal information from any iOS menu. The Spotlight is no longer accessible only in a separate page that could only be viewed by swiping on the first page of the Springboard, the system is now accessible anywhere in the Homescreen or the Settings application. By making a simple swipe above the dock in the HomeScreen, or a swipe in the Settings application, or other applications that have the integrated API, we will be able to quickly access the Spotlight to perform searches.
Of course, accessing a result will take us out of the respective application, but we can quickly return to it.
