iOS 7 warns users who use unauthorized Lightning accessories

Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), launched the standard lightning last fall together with iPhone 5 and made it difficult for accessory manufacturers who wanted to develop products compatible with the new port lightning of iDevices. Although a few months later some received Apple's certification to produce accessories compatible with the ports lightning, in China there are quite a few companies that produce unauthorized accessories that still work with Apple's iDevices. If in iOS 6 Apple did not warn users about the use of these accessories, starting with iOS 7 it does and tells the users that the accessories might have an inappropriate functionality.

Considering that Apple can detect these inappropriate accessories, the company could block them thanks to the hardware implemented in the Lightning ports, but it chooses to do it and this says a lot about the importance it gives to the brand image and the opinion of consumers.
