Samsung will be the supplier of Retina Displays for iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2

Despite the numerous lawsuits opened between Samsung si Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), worldwide, despite the numerous teasing between the two companies and members of the management teams, Samsung seems to have been chosen as one of the suppliers of Retina Displays with a diagonal of 7.9 inches and 9.7 inches. iPad Mini 2 si iPad 5 are to be launched in the following months, and apart from the partners already contracted by Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), in Japan or Taiwan, the company from Cupertino finally chose to contract including the Koreans from Samsung. They are going to provide 7.9 inch screens for iPad Mini 2, these screens having a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels, but also 9.7 inch screens with the same resolution.

According to the industry on the 13th, Samsung Display is to supply 7.9-inch retina display with 2048×1536 resolution and 9.7-inch narrow bezel retina display to Apple from the 3rd and 4th quarters, respectively. Each displays are to be used for iPad Mini 2 (Retina) and New iPad 5. Apple is to launch iPad Mini 2 whose resolution is upgraded to QXGA quality in the 3rd quarter, and is also preparing iPad 5 with narrow bezel for enhanced recognition degree.

Up to now, there have been numerous rumors that gave the certainty of a break between Samsung and Apple, the break that was supposed to leave Samsung not only without contracts for screens, but also without contracts for the supply of iDevice components. The return to better thinking on the part of those from Apple is based on either the good prices charged by Samsung, or the impossibility of replacing the lack of such a capable supplier, but that matters less because the quality of the components produced by Samsung is extremely appreciated and would have been felt by the users.
