MacBook Pro 2013 appears in the first benchmarks

Although officially the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), did not announce the launch of a new model of MacBook Pro this year, a first benchmark confirms that an update of the series will take place, but you shouldn't be too happy. In the image above you have represented MacBook Pro 2013 with the code AAPLJ44,1, we are talking about the version with a 13-inch screen, most likely the basic one, and its performance is not that great. Having a dual-core Intel Haswell i5 4248U processor clocked at 2.4 GHz, 8 GB RAM and OS X Mavericks, the laptop has performance inferior to the high-end models launched last year, but superior to the basic ones, the performance difference compared to the last ones being almost 10%.

Exactly as in the case benchmark presented today for Mac Pro 2013, the increase in performance compared to the old models is not that big and this was to be expected because the Haswell platform was mainly designed to improve energy consumption. It is unlikely that we will see a performance increase greater than 20% in the case of any model of Macs released this year, but in the case of autonomy things will be completely different, the Haswell platform adding a few hours of use in addition to what it offers the old models that work based on the Ivy Bridge platform.

In conclusion, if you are hoping for a major increase in performance from the Macs released this year, you will not be disappointed because the autonomy will fully compensate.
