iPhone 5 generates 40% of 4G internet traffic in the US

iPhones are the best-selling smartphones in the US, and iPhone 5 stands at the head of them, generating at the same time almost half of the total traffic 4G done using smartphones. IN A published study recently, the people from Chitika tell us that 40% of the total 4G internet traffic made in the USA comes from terminals iPhone 5, and 75% of the total 4G internet traffic in the US, made using terminals launched after July 2012, comes from the same Apple company terminal.

Interestingly, iPhone 5 users in particular generated about 40% of the total traffic from 4G phones and 76% of the traffic from 4G phones released after July 2012. The above results point to users of newer 4G phones driving more traffic than owners of older models , despite the latter's advantage in terms of time on the market. Although Apple and Samsung are currently the largest players in the 4G phone marketplace, the statistics point to a large growth potential for this technology in North America.

Looking at the entire Internet traffic generated by mobile phones, 4G traffic represents only 30%, a moderate figure, but considering the fact that 4G networks are constantly expanding, it will increase in the future. Unfortunately, we don't have statistics for Europe or other regions of the world, but probably things are different depending on the area we're talking about and the influence of the producers in that area.
