As the rumors about the release intensify iPad Mini 2, we learn new information about the device, but also about the partners Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), who is going to manufacture it. Apple would have given up the services of Pegatron regarding the manufacture of the iPad Mini 2, the company going to assemble iPhone Lite. Those from Foxconn would follow to take over the manufacturing process themselves iPad Mini 2, but also that of iPhone 5S, the company with factories in China having the most experience in assembling iDevices for the Apple company.
The decision to give a single manufacturer exclusivity for the manufacture of one or more products is not unusual, especially for Apple. Foxconn has a long history of collaboration with Apple, it has the capacity to produce tens of millions of iDevices monthly and it can do it respecting the manufacturing criteria imposed by Apple.
