Samsung Galaxy Gear could also connect to iPhones

Monday the company Samsung presented Galaxy GearFirst SmartWatch Galaxy produced by Koreans. Although during the presentation conference it was said that SmartWatchwill only interconnect with Samsung Galaxy Note 3 si Galaxy Tab 10.1, the managers of the Samsung they stated that there will be support for other non-Samsung smartphones as well. At the center is the Bluetooth 4.0 LE standard that will provide this compatibility, but only for smartphones that have implemented it, iPhone 5 being among them, however iPhone 5S is going to offer exactly the same after launch.

Right now the specific APIs and functionality are tied to the Galaxy Note 3. For obvious reasons we are looking for additional devices to support it. We will announce those when they come, but right now it is Galaxy Note 3 specific.

Although the development of compatibility with iPhones is probably not very high on the list of priorities of those from Samsung, the terminals Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), it could bring them a very large number of customers. Many iPhone owners are interested in smartwatches, many would be willing to purchase them, but in the absence of the possibility to interconnect the Galaxy Gear with the iPhone, Pebble remains the cheapest and best solution, at least until the appearance of other sufficiently interesting smartwatches.
