Apple disables the function that allowed us to set panoramic photos as wallpaper in iOS 7

One of the functions iOS 7 which I liked very much has to do with the panoramic wallpapers, Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), allowing us to set such a wallpaper as background for LockScreen or HomeScreen. Unfortunately in the final version a iOS 7 the company decided to eliminate this functionality, without saying why it made this decision and without saying if it will implement it again in the future. Of course, many people were disappointed, especially since there is no explanation for its elimination, but the basis could be several important aspects.

The panoramic images have an extremely high resolution, and playing them on terminals with less than 1 GB of RAM and single-core or even dual-core processors would have generated a much too high resource consumption to run iOS under perfectly normal conditions. Moreover, in order to display the images and move them during use, iOS had to simultaneously collect data from the accelerometer, gyroscope and compass, this again affecting both the performance and the autonomy of the device, and many they would not have been so delighted.

Unfortunately, I would have liked the option to remain usable only by activating it from a special menu, but even if Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), doesn't give it to us, tweaks from Cydia surely they will be able to activate it.
