Samsung claims that it does not cheat in benchmarks

I told you last night that Samsung, and other manufacturers of Android mobile terminals, manipulate the benchmark scores run on their own terminals, and today Samsung is the first company which reacts to these accusations. Through a press officer, those from Samsung stated that the processors of its terminals increase their frequencies when functions that need additional processing power are run, but the checks made recently demonstrate the fact that it only happens in benchmarks this thing.

The Galaxy Note 3 maximizes its CPU/GPU frequencies when running features that demand substantial performance. This was not an attempt to exaggerate particular benchmarking results. We remain committed to providing our customers with the best possible user experience.

Of course, not only the benchmarks need additional processing power, but Samsung has specially modified its software to increase the frequencies only when certain applications are running, changing the names of those applications forcing the processors to function normally. To be honest, I find the attitude of the Samsung people strange and I expected them to admit their mistakes, not to say that others have misunderstood how their software works. Although it is unlikely that Samsung's image will be affected by this scandal, one thing is certain, the benchmarks run on certain Android terminals should not be believed.
