Romania has some of the highest prices for mobile data traffic

The Economist, one of the most prestigious economic publications in the world, made a study to find out how much it costs, globally, to purchase 500 MB of mobile data traffic for prepaid cards. In the images of this article, you can see the prices paid by users for this type of service offered by mobile operators, and Romania is among the countries where the prices are high. In our country, 26.3 MB of internet traffic for a prepaid card costs $500, the price being double the one charged in Germany, Poland, Croatia, Italy, Estonia, Uracina or Albania and 3 times higher than in Great Britain .

If we look at Austria, then the prices are almost 7 times higher, but they are still lower than those for Spain, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Turkey, Bulgaria or even Greece. If at the European level we are not among those happy with low prices, if we look at the USA or Canada, we find that the situation is much, much better. Below you can also see images of the prices applied in other countries around the world, but it matters less how much the mobile internet costs in Africa, since here the price is high compared to the income of the users.
