Although there are no official public statistics regarding the number of terminals iPhone which are active in Romania, a Romanian company says that 500.000 terminals access Facebook every month. According to them, Apple has 4.3% of the smartphone market in Romania, selling 50.000 iPhones annually through official channels, worth approximately 20 million euros. These 500.000 terminals generate 20% of mobile internet traffic in our country, and the figures are quite interesting.
Currently, there are more than 500.000 Romanians who access Facebook using one of the iPhone models, the most popular being the iPhone 4. Apple has a 4,3% share of the local smartphone market in terms of smartphones sold. However, considering the average price much higher than that of other smartphones on the market, from a value point of view iPhones have 12% of the local smartphone market. Taking the two pieces of information into account, it can be estimated that Apple sells in Romania through official channels - for which there are data measured by analysis companies - about 50.000 iPhones, worth over 20 million euros.
The information is based on the data analyzed by the companies that sell advertising for websites in our country and they reveal the fact that the iPhone 4 is the most popular model of the iPhone, being also the cheapest sold on the market. Considering that we are talking about unofficial data, they must be viewed quite detachedly, the figure seems quite high to me, even if in recent years the number of active iDevices in Romania has constantly increased.

The interesting part is that no activity figures are revealed for iPad tablets, this Apple product becoming more and more popular lately, having quite good sales in our country.
