Despite the bad start, BlackBerry Messenger for iOS has attracted the attention of many users from all over the world, the application of the Canadians from Blackberry being downloaded over 10 million times worldwide. We are of course talking about downloads generated on the iOS and Android OS platforms, without differentiating between them, and those from BlackBerry were amazed by the results. Their application occupies the first position in 75 App Stores around the world, and in one published post on the company's blog, employees are praised for their efforts to bring the app to the world.
Leaving aside the praise that the people from Blackberry give themselves, this launch was poorly thought out and equally poorly executed. The registration emails were extremely difficult to send and the Blackberry servers could not cope with the large number of users trying to register, and this spoiled the whole experience of trying something new. From my point of view, Blackberry Messenger will have moderate success, many will try it to see what it brings different from other similar applications, but in the end only those with BBM contacts and friends who own Blackberrys will use it.
