An iPhone's Lightning cable saves the life of an American police officer

I was reading yesterday like a HTC saved the life of a gas station employee that a thief fired a gun at during a robbery, and today I'm telling you that an iPhone charging cable he saved the life of an American policeman. The cable was in the policeman's pocket, and a bullet fired by a suspect would have been deflected by the accessory of the Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), and would have saved the policeman's life. It is not known exactly what kind of injuries the police officer suffered as a result of the impact, but two policemen were involved in the incident and none of them suffered life-threatening injuries.

To be honest, I have to say that that cop is extremely lucky, because the chances of that bullet hitting the USB side of the Lightning cable are extremely slim.
