All start with replacing the old 3-cell battery that had 43 Whr, with one of only two cells that has only 32.9 Whr and occupies the most space, outside the screen. Continuing, Apple reduced the amount of aluminum used for the case by reducing the dimensions, thus reducing the weight.
By reducing the overall dimensions, Apple also reduced the side edges of the tablet, this seriously contributing to the elimination of a few grams of weight, and in the end there remains the implementation of a new type of screen that is thinner and lighter. By combining all these changes, Apple managed to reduce the weight iPad Air with 184 grams, this weight difference being greater than the total weight of iPhone 5S. In conclusion, Apple managed an interesting trick with its new tablet and, as I told you yesterday, it is a pleasure to use it.
