Apple still ships Macs with OS X Mountain Lion preinstalled

Company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), has launched OS X Mavericks last month and offers it for free to all Mac owners, but if you purchase a Mac new now, you might not get it with OS X mavericks preinstalled. Although Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), emphasizes the immediate delivery of the new operating system to users, some Macs now delivered by the company still have the old version of the operating system. More than that, it seems that they still do OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.5 would not be installed on those Macs, but version 10.8.4, which was released more than a month ago.

This was discovered by an editor from zdnet, who he ordered a customized iMac from Apple at the end of last month. Considering that the product was made based on the customer's specifications, it was normal for it to have OS X Mavericks, not being a unit with standard specifications, but this did not happen. It is not known yet why Apple still delivers Macs with OS X Mountain Lion preinstalled, but if you are going to order one and receive it like this, you should be prepared for the update process.

  1. I don't understand what's happening with them...at istyle I saw macbook air with os x mountain leopard and with lion but nothing of mavericks! Can you explain to me too? I really wanted to buy a macbook, but I'm not too sure about the bootcamp from mavericks or the bootcamp with errors from the macbook pro retina, so I'm very confused....if you have a more accurate tutorial for the bootcamp, a link would help me!

  2. sorry for the partial offtopic, but speaking of operating systems, I have a windows 7 license and a macbook pro retina (the latest) with mavericks, how do I install windows 7? a tutorial would help me (link) preferably bootcamp or something... I'm not really used to os x and office would help me a lot more because it supports Romanian better... plus many other programs that are not on mac

  3. Any macbook model bought now surely gets Maveriks, those who bought iMac between September 26th and October 5th, HDD/SSD are the first pieces prepared for an iMAC CTO and come with Mountain Lion. But in 10-15 minutes you have Maveriks installed if you have access to the internet, so..no big deal

  4. You will realize that they will not recall all the computers that are in stock and in transport and unseal them to give them an update :))
