Owners of iDevices generate the highest data traffic among all owners of mobile terminals

For years Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), has the opportunity to brag about the fact that its iDevices generate the highest data traffic for internet browsing, and a recent study it does nothing but confirm this. Being one of the few studies conducted at the global level, it shows us that iPhone 5S si iPad 4 generates enormous data traffic for downloading content from the Internet, HTC Sensation si iPad 4 generating the highest upload traffic.

Users of the latest iPhone 5s consume more downlink data than any other smartphone users in both markets under study, consuming almost seven times and twenty times as much as the benchmark iPhone 3G users. This is consistent with the trend seen over the past three years where users of the flagship iPhone devices were the most data-hungry smartphone users. As in past years, we are not in a position to directly identify the root causes of this data consumption.

It is also interesting that the owners of terminals iPhone 5S generates 20% more data traffic than terminal owners iPhone 5 or iPhone 5C, the difference being much greater in the case of iPad 3 or iPhone 4S. Unfortunately for Samsung, the terminal Samsung Galaxy S4 it is placed in a good position only in the case of data upload, and the Samsung Galaxy S3 does not exist in the top, its much smaller brother being present thanks to the information gathered by the researchers.

The study was conducted on a number of approximately 1 million users from various areas around the globe.
