iPad remains the best-selling tablet in 2013

If in 2011 and 2012 the iPad tablet had an impressive market share in the wallet market, in 2013 things were completely different. Providing an overview of the tablet market, Garner has published the image above detailing the sales recorded by all major tablet manufacturers. Apple manages to stay in the top with 36% of sales, it being followed by the company Samsung which totaled 19.1% of sales.

Apple's tablets remain strong in the higher end of the market and, Apple's approach will continue to force vendors to compete with full ecosystem offerings, even in the smaller-screen market as the iPad mini sees a greater share.

Practically, Apple sold almost 2 times more tablets than Samsung, but the Korean company records better and better sales for its products, and this despite the fact that they were initially not as sought after. Separated from the two competitors, ASUS, Amazon and Lenovo occupy the next 3 positions in the top 5, each of these companies sales much less than Apple, the difference being almost 7x in the case of ASUS.
