iPhone 6 – Apple expands the factory producing protective panels made of sapphire glass

Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), decided just a few months ago to collaborate with a manufacturer of sapphire glass panels to open a factory in a, having the role of producing future ones sapphire panels for iPhone 6. Although the entire factory was not completely built, the two companies already working to the plans for the expansion of the area where the future products are to be produced sapphire glass panels, this indirectly confirming the fact that Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), is interested in implementing these components in iDevices.

Although the exact purpose of the second unit is unknown, the build would likely be similar to Cascade's building as project planners are said to be fielding bids from existing construction companies and material suppliers. Firms actively working on the project include Rosendin Electric, Wesco Distribution and Graybar Electric, among others.

The future factory a Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), and GT Advanced is going to employ 700 people and contain equipment capable of producing up to 200 million sapphire glass panels annually, the production capacity to be increased in the future. Apple is not in the habit of making major investments unless it has very good reasons to spend the money, so planning to expand the production capacity of a factory before it is finished and officially opened can only mean that Apple intends to produce, quantities enormous components.
