googolplex is a system that we talked about a few months ago when we told you that through it we can expand the functionality Crab without doing jailbreak our iDevices. Developed by a team of students for the hackathon of a university in Pennsylvania, USA, googolplex is the first and only hack for iOS 7 which allows users to control third-party applications of the operating system using Crab, all without doing jailbreak.

The functionality is presented in the video clips in this article googolplex and as you can see, Siri can control Spotify apps, VenmoInstagramPhilips Hue, and even some connected to cars, all without jailbreaking. Installing the hack takes only 20 seconds and everything is based on the use of a proxy that intercepts the traffic made by Siri, the student server taking over the assistant's requests and providing him with information that allows him to control the applications.

Considering that all the traffic Crab is redirected to the developers' servers, information from your iDevices could reach them, even if they deny this, so you'd better be careful. The final version of GoogolPlex can be tested by anyone, it has a series of improvements compared to the beta version presented by me more than a month ago, and if you are interested in the system you will find instructions for use here.
