iPhone 6 – Apple delivers the first sapphire glass panels

Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), founded an American factory that produces sapphire glass panels for iPhone 6, and recently the first components of this kind were delivered to its partners in Asia. As you can see from the image above, the number sapphire glass panels provided to partners Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), increased in Q1 2014, GTAT being the partner Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), who manages the American factory that produces these components. YET the number of units sold to the partners Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), from Asia is small, suggesting that the iPhone 6 could be produced in a first testing phase for now.

Checks find GT's Arizona factory likely stared producing sapphire last month. Our own checks found that for the first time GT shipped some small quantities of sapphire made in its Arizona fab to one of Apple's partners in China who is in charge of making sapphire covers. Our checks find the amount of ingots it sold into China last month was only about 2,200kg which would be in line with our estimate of about 100 sapphire furnaces turned on and running (our checks find 100 furnaces were targeted for installation in 4Q13).

It has been said since a few months ago that during this period GT Advanced and Apple could start the production of sapphire glass panels for the iPhone 6 this time of the year, and this turns out to be true. Considering this schedule of component deliveries, the launch of the iPhone 6 in September seems as clear as possible, and the implementation of sapphire to protect the screen does not seem to be certain, at least until some contradictory information appears.
