Unfortunately, it seems that this application refuses to work in iOS beta 8 1, closing suddenly when trying to access a contact and send a message from the chat list.
The application can work if you access the chat list with a contact through a notification and it will continue to allow access to that chat as long as it is not completely closed in the background, but you will not be able to initiate a conversation yourself, you will only be able to participate in one and ONLY if you open the conversation from a notification. Definitely those from WhatsApp they are aware of the problem and are trying to solve it, but no one knows how long it will take until they solve it.
