According to those from Reuters, the product would be equipped with a 2.5 inch touch screen, but also with a system of wireless charging, a recent rumor indicating that Apple may opt to implement such technology.
The source said Apple expects to ship 50 million units within the first year of the product's release, although these types of initial estimates can be subject to change. The watch is currently in trial production at Quanta, which will be the main manufacturer, accounting for at least 70 percent of final assembly, the source said.
iWatch will have a rectangular shape with a 2.5 inch curved touchscreen, so a good part of the concepts published so far might have presented an image as real as possible for the future product. Basically Apple would give users a SmartWatch with a series of features similar to those offered by similar products available on the market, less wireless charging, which is not really used that much.
Apple will introduce a smartwatch with a display that likely measures 2.5 inches diagonally and is slightly rectangular, one of the sources said. Unfortunately, details about the price are not yet known iWatch, but it probably won't be cheaper than $250. Quanta Computer will produce Apple's future device, the manufacturing process will begin in July, with the official launch now scheduled for October.
