The US Senate approves a law that will simplify the decoding of iPhones

During this day, the US Senate approved a legislative proposal that allows customers of mobile phone operators to ask the operators to unlock their phones at no additional cost after the contracts are completed. The legislative proposal must also be voted by Congress to become law and enter into force, so there is still a waiting period before it can be imposed on operators.

At the moment mobile phone operators in the US ask customers to pay a decoding fee for phones bought through them, even if the contractual period imposed on the purchase of the device has been exceeded. Unfortunately this law won't solve it the main problem in the USA, that is, the legal decoding by third parties of mobile phones that are in the contractual period or outside of it.

Probably, by adopting this law, a big step will be taken towards entering a state of normalcy regarding the decoding of telephones, but everything depends on the lobby that the operators do to be able to keep customers limited in options.
