For iOS 8 the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), promised us the possibility for applications to interact with each other through third-party extensions, and touch ID would allow the securing of information using our fingerprints. In the demonstration above you can see How 1Password is used to provide login data for an application without the user leaving it, touch ID being used for authentication.

Thanks to Apple's incredible new developer features in iOS 8, third-party apps can let 1Password fill Logins without the user ever leaving the app. Yep, complete with Touch ID for unlocking the vault. Yep, it's this awesome. How easy is it for third-party apps to get in on this one-tap Login goodness? Extremely! Developers: check out our 1Password App Extension on GitHub with documentation and sample code.

Practically in iOS 8 communication between applications and securing data using our fingerprints will be greatly simplified, Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), finally offering methods to retrieve data from applications without leaving those used in the main menu. Those from 1Password provides documentation for using this system with your own application, so the implementation is not simple, so not many developers will take advantage of these new APIs.
