Hacker developers of evasi0n7 and Pangu are nominated for Pwnie Awards 2014

Pwnie Awards 2014 is an annual event in which hackers who have discovered the most important vulnerabilities of operating systems for electronic products are awarded for their work. The prizes are, of course, symbolic, and this year the team hackers Evad3rs si Pangu were nominated for the development of solutions jailbreak evasi0n7 si Pangu.

For the second year in a row, the evad3rs team gets a Pwnie nomination for exploiting Apple iOS. This time they chained together at least 4 exploits, to defeat code signing and exploit the iOS kernel. What's more exciting than one iOS jailbreak? Two iOS jailbreaks. A new team hit the jailbreak scene in 2014 with a jailbreak for Apple iOS 7.1.

Separate from the members of the two previously mentioned teams, the hackers Geohot si comex were also nominated in various sections of Pwnie Awards, so it will be interesting to see who wins and what. Finally, the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), was also nominated in the section of the biggest "fails" of the year with vulnerability Go To Fail which affected the security of his website just a few months ago.

winners Pwnie Awards 2014 will be announced tomorrow in a ceremony that will take place in Las Vegas, USA.
