iOS 8 reveals iPhone 6 screen resolution

Just a few months ago, the first speculations about iPhone 6 screen resolution, she being then presented as having 1704 960 pixels x, relatively close to Full HD. Unfortunately, the resolution was not supported in the files present in iOS 8, but today we have the first proof regarding true screen resolution iPhone 6, files discovered in the new Xcode 6, released last night, suggesting that she will be of 1472 x 828 pixels.

As you can already see from the images, the files that suggest the new resolution of the iPhone 6 were discovered in the segment that contains the settings for the resolution of icons visible in Springboard. Xcode specifies resolution 736 414 pixels x for the icons in Springboard, but to obtain the Retina quality, it is doubled and reaches that of 1472 828 pixels x previously presented.

If a few months ago we were talking about the resolution 1704 960 pixels x which on one iPhone 6 with 4.7 inch screen it would also offer a large number of pixels per inch, in the case resolution 1472 x 828 pixels things will not be as good. At this resolution, a iPhone 6 with 4.7 inch screen it will have a screen with 359 pixels per inch, over the 326 of the current models, but far below what Android terminal manufacturers offer.

Choosing this lower resolution, with the same screen ratio 16:9, Apple will make it easier for developers to make their applications compatible with the new terminal, but probably not many users will be happy. Even so, this matters less now, because since the resolution is present in Xcode 6, it is as clear as possible that it will be used.
