iPhone 6 – the LTE modem appears in new images, the Internet browsing speed will increase by 50%

A few weeks ago I found out for the first time that iPhone 6 will include a modem Category 9625 Qualcomm MDM4M which allows browsing the Internet at LTE speeds of up to 150 Mbps. Supporting that information, today we see this modem positioned on iPhone 6 motherboard, its implementation representing a disappointment because it is hoped that Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), will use for the new terminal the MDM9635 modem which allows surfing the Internet at speeds up to 300 Mbps.

Increase internet browsing speed by using this modem chip Qualcomm MDM9625 it is based on a technology called carrier aggregation which requires the use of two secondary chips. In the image above you can see these secondary faces WTR1625L si WFR1620, they being located on the opposite side of the base plate, contributing to it 50% increase in Internet browsing speeds, from the current 100 MBps to 150 MBps, in 150 Mbps LTE networks.

Given that 300 Mbps LTE networks they are only at the beginning of implementation in many countries, it is somewhat logical that Apple decided to postpone support for them for next year, but it would have been interesting to be able to use their speeds.
