iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus – 4 million units sold by Apple in just one day!

On Friday, the Apple company announced that a record number of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus terminals were pre-ordered through its stores and those of its direct partners. Although at that time it did not reveal the total number of units sold, today the American company published a press release announcing the fact that 4 million iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus terminals were pre-ordered by customers.

Apple® today announced a record number of first day pre-orders of iPhone® 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, the biggest advances in iPhone history, with over four million in the first 24 hours. Demand for the new iPhones exceeds the initial pre-order supply and while a significant amount will be delivered to customers beginning on Friday and throughout September, many iPhone pre-orders are scheduled to be delivered in October.

We are talking about an absolute record for Apple and about a figure that represents almost half of the sales of the first weekend of availability for iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C. Under these conditions, we can expect the sales recorded in the first weekend by both terminals to exceed 10 million units.
