Samsung is one of the largest corporations in the world and although it is mainly known for the divisions that produce electronic devices, in reality the company is much more diversified. Considering the large number of divisions, Samsung employs a little over 275.000 people worldwide, the figure being enormous and more than 2.5 times higher than that of one of its direct competitors, Sony.
If we still look at Apple, Google and Microsoft, we learn that Samsung has over $25 more employees than all three of these companies combined, but this is perfectly normal. Samsung produces almost any kind of electronic devices and components for them, and in order to be able to honor its contracts, some of them with Apple, Google or Microsoft, it needs an "army" of employees in its factories all over the world.
