iPad Air 2 – A8X chip with faster processor than the one in iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus

iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are equipped with a chip A8 whose processor is clocked at a frequency of 1.3 GHz and is about 25% faster than the processor implemented in the A7 chip of the iPhone 5S. iPad Air 2 it is equipped with an A8X chip and a processor whose frequency we do not know anything about yet, but Apple claims that it would be up to 40% more efficient than the one implemented in the A7 chip, which has a working frequency of 1.4 GHz .

If Apple's strategy of the past years will not change, then iPad Air 2 will have an A8X chip in which we will find a processor clocked at 1.4 GHz, with 100 MHz more than the working frequency of the processor present in iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. This difference in frequency will give the iPad Air 2 a performance boost in synthetic tests, but in the real world there is little chance that anyone will feel a real difference in using applications.

Apple has always had the habit of giving iPad tablets better performance than iPhone terminals, and if apart from this higher working frequency we also add 2 GB of RAM, then things become even more interesting.
