iOS 8 and OS X Yosemite allow you to share files between iPhone and Mac

releasing iOS 8 and OS X Yosemite, the Apple company finally allows iPhone/Mac owners to quickly share files between this type of product, although in the past the functionality was not available. To share files you must first activate AirDrop from the Control Center on the iPhone and then in the Finder application of OS X Yosemite access the AirDrop menu and you will have to activate the function, if it is not already available, and the iPhone should appear there.

For file transfer, it is necessary that both terminals are connected to a Wi-Fi network and have Bluetooth turned on, but you do not have to have both connected to the same Wi-Fi network. To share files from iOS simply select a picture or a video clip, and in the AirDrop sharing menu you will see your Mac which you will select with a press, an alert message will then be displayed in OS X, its acceptance by starting the file transfer.

To transfer a file from OS X Yosemite to iOS 8, you will need to access the AirDrop menu of the Finder and drag & drop a file over the icon of your iPhone. Unfortunately, only pictures or video clips can be shared, and the function is also available for iPad or iPod Touch tablets.
