A Russian politician claims that Tim Cook should be banned in Russia because he is gay

Tim Cook is gay, we knew this for several years, but only yesterday the current CEO of the Apple company publicly admitted his sexual orientation, being praised by many personalities. Tim Cook he is the only president of a Fotune 500 company to publicly admit that he is gay, and this makes sense, because a Russian politician showed us yesterday the impact of this kind of announcement on the world that is not so permissive regarding sexual orientation.

What could he (Cook) bring us? The Ebola virus, AIDS, gonorrhea? They all have unseemly ties over there... Ban him for life.

Vitaly Milonov, a member of the St. Petersburg legislature, said yesterday that since Tim Cook is gay, his access to Russia should permanently banned because he could bring into the country Ebola, AIDS or gonorrhea. The claim is not viewed with much surprise by the world as Russia has a law against homosexuality, but this is surely only the beginning of a long line of criticism that Tim Cook will have to endure.

In countries like Russia or China, homosexuality is not viewed with such good eyes by the members of the parties that rule the country, and in the latter Apple has extremely important businesses, so it will be interesting to see how Tim Cook will be received in the future by Chinese politicians.
