Apple contracts new companies to provide data for Apple Maps

  For almost two years, the Apple company has been constantly trying to improve the service Apple Maps, and this involved hiring an impressive number of employees to sort data and improve the functionality of the application. Moving on, Apple has now hired no less than 10 new providers of data on businesses around users, and below is the full list. 3 of the suppliers were already contracted by Apple, namely Yelp, Factual and Neustar/Localeze, but they were not enough to cover businesses around the globe.

  Apple recently opened a portal where businesses can list their location to be displayed in Apple Maps, but the service is only available in the US, the American company trying to expand it to the whole world. Apple try to equals Google Maps in terms of providing accurate data on businesses around the globe, and contracting these companies will definitely help it. Unfortunately, Apple Maps does not offer the same functionality as Google Maps in Romania for now, but the hope is that things will change for the better in the near future.
