Samsung has been going through big financial problems for several months due to the sales of smartphones and tablets which are in a continuous decline, the latest financial results confirming a substantial decrease in the profit of the mobile terminal division. Samsung Galaxy S5, the top smartphone of the Korean company, is registering 40% lower sales than its predecessor and this is affecting the company's overall revenues, so that its board of directors is considering making a radical change that also involves firing the current CEO of the mobile division, JK Shin, he can be replaced by BK Yoon, the head of the division that produces household appliances.

Samsung may fire the CEO of the mobile division

With a 60% decrease in the profit of the mobile and terminal division mobiles unable to surpass Apple's products in sales, the CEO of Samsung's mobile division it doesn't seem to be able to think of a strategy that would keep the Korean company in the top mobile terminal manufacturers. In this idea, the board of directors is thinking of making a radical change in the management team of Samsung's mobile division, including here also a change in the general strategy, the focus will be on cheap mobile terminals and not on high-end smartphones which no longer generates as much money as in the past.

Apart from the Samsung Galaxy S5, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 does not register an extraordinarily high demand either, both terminals being surpassed in sales by the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in most of the markets in which they compete, but this probably does not surprise anyone. Basically, Samsung now has to reinvent itself in order to remain profitable in a world where Apple manages to surpass it in almost every field, less in terms of total smartphone sales, and that's because Apple doesn't have cheap iPhone models in markets where users cannot afford to buy the current expensive units.
