The iPhone 6 screen displays great colors, here is the explanation

iPhone 6 pixel screen

iPhone 6 screen it was not praised by all those who had the opportunity to test the new product of the Apple company, but the users were extremely satisfied with the change made, and here we are talking about those who noticed the existence of differences. If you were wondering what exactly has changed so much at display iPhone 6 to determine such a big change in terms of image quality, well we are talking about gluing the terminal screen to the protective panel placed above it, so that we see the black color more clearly, but also a better contrast for the rest of the colors.

So, why does this display look so good? It turns out that what is different, like the iPhone 5 vs. the iPhone 4 is the proximity of the pixels to the glass in the iPhone 6 compared with the iPhone 5. With the iPhone 6, the pixels appear to be almost one with the glass. When the iPhone 5 came out, Apple bonded the display to the glass in an effort to get the pixels closer to the surface and Apple has appeared to make the pixels in the 6 even closer still.

The iPhone 6 screen offers clearer images and better color contrast

Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), uses a technology called dual-domain pixels and thanks to it, it managed to offer a better quality for the screens of its terminals, given that we are talking about a much larger component than the one used in the past. Analyzing the iPhone 6 screen under a microscope, it was discovered how much the screen was changed compared to the iPhone 5C or even the iPhone 4, Apple making a huge technological leap to offer better quality for the users of its terminals.

With the iPhone 6, Apple is using dual-domain (DD-IPS) panels. DD-IPS skews the pixels, essentially slanting one column down and the next on up. This helps compensate for uneven lighting and color distortion, providing for even wider viewing angles and a better contrast ratio, typically 1400:1. That's compared to 800:1 on the iPhone 5s.

Even if it seems to be more fragile than in the past and to scratch more easily, the iPhone 6 screen is the best implemented so far in an iPhone terminal.

  1. You can really see the iPhone 6 screen well. Personally, comparing it with the one from the 5S, I noticed almost no difference. The color saturation is equally high on both displays and you can see well. Maybe you can see more well the black on the 6, but I haven't checked this aspect. Anyway, both are great displays, and the iPhone 6 mainly has the size as an advantage when it comes to the screen.

  2. As far as I know, since 2010 (iPhone 4) the IPS panels are "glued" to the capacitive panel, so nothing new here. The novelty consists in the way the pixels are "arranged" in the last 2 models (DD-IPS).

  3. VP: here it's also about "tastes". Those who prefer amoled will glorify this kind of technology and those who prefer more realistic and not so gaudy colors will consider LCD. Apple probably borrowed and tried to approach the ip6's display towards an amoled and Samsung, the biggest creator and user of AMOLED, tried to blur it and perfect it, which it succeeded in. In the future, Apple in their statements seems to understand that they are interested in using new technologies for display and f is likely to use amoled which, even if it is more expensive in the formula that has arrived now, offers numerous advantages being in front of the LCD. In the past years it still did not offer what it offers now and f many hated it (you say that the screen on the first iPhones were washed, well, normal at that time, but the first galaxy you say that you were watching manga drawings on the display at how colorful it was). In my opinion, this is due mainly to the Samsung company and not only. At the moment, each of them has weak and strong points, personally, I still prefer a good quality LCD, I don't understand why, but it seems to tire my eyes less after a long period of use, plus looking at that display gives me the feeling of naturalness and normality, being the opposite of amoled, even to the one on the latest generation note4 and s5, which are the best possible.

  4. He's on the fuck better.
