According to those from Kantar Media, iPhone 6 contributed to the growth of the iOS market share worldwide, with Europe and Australia being the main growth engines of the Apple company in the 3 months ended on October 31. As you can already see from the image above, Japan was the only country where the market share of iOS dropped significantly, and we are talking about one of the countries where the American company's products are extremely popular.

In the rest of the countries iOS recorded constant increases, Great Britain having the highest of them, of 10.4%, while China recorded the lowest, of only 0.2%. Android, on the other hand, had marginal increases in most of the countries monitored by Kantar Media, the only one where the increase was greater than 10% was Japan, where Android's market share increased by only 11.9% in just three months.

iPhone 5C sells better than iPhone 6 Plus

Regarding the popularity of the terminals, as we told you at the beginning of this article, iPhone 6, iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C and 6 iPhone Plus this is the order in which we find them in the sales list recorded by Apple. The fact that the iPhone 5C is better sold than the iPhone 6 Plus might be surprising for many of those who follow the evolution of the Apple company, but the unavailability in stocks of the latter terminal seriously affected sales.

Based on all these data obtained by those from Kantar, the company estimates that Apple is facing the most profitable fiscal quarter in history, with a record number of iPhone terminals sold worldwide. If things will stay like this or not, we will find out in the second part of January, when Apple will announce its financial results for Q4 2014.
