CES 2015: ClearOhm turns almost any surface into a touchpad (Video)

ClearOhm is one of the interesting innovations presented at CES 2015 and this in view of the fact that we are talking about a liquid capable of transforming almost any surface into a touchpad. In the video clip above, you can see its functionality and notice that a simple piece of plastic can be quickly transformed into a tactile surface with which we can control a computer.

The solution ClearOhm it contains millions of silver nanowires, they conduct electricity so well that upon contact with human skin they allow controlling a cursor as if we were using a touchpad. From pieces of plastic to transparent surfaces, ClearOhm manufacturers claim that their solution can be applied almost anywhere with almost the same effect.

Although ClearOhm creates a tactile surface on an object, it must still be connected to a computer to make it possible to control an operating system. More precisely, whatever object we use together with this substance, it must then be connected to a computer to transform the electrical impulses into commands, otherwise everything is useless.

Using ClearOhm, manufacturers of mobile terminals or wearables could turn any surface into a touch screen. Computers or even ordinary objects from our homes could be controlled with it, but for the technology to reach the masses, continuous development and companies willing to invest in it are needed.
