South Korea is investigating the impact that Apple and Google have on Samsung's sales

Apple Google Samsung

Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), recorded in Q4 2014 in South Korea the highest market share recorded by any foreign smartphone manufacturer, the Americans occupying 33% of the local market. The increase comes amid a decline in the company's sales Samsung and this change of "powers" on the Korean market led the local authorities to investigate Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),, But and Google. The Korean government is trying to find out what impact Apple and Google have had on smartphone sales, and in the middle is of course the company Samsung, which was the most severely affected.

The FTC is said to establish a task force and closely monitor whether or not monopolistic companies like Google and Apple inflict damage to the Korean market using their dominant position in the market. The regulatory body is paying attention to the fact that the two companies comprise 99.5 percent of the local mobile operating system market.

The problem for the Korean government is that iOS si Android together they control 99.5% of the operating systems for mobile terminals that run on mobile phones operating in South Korea. Although most of the market share is represented by Android developed by Google and used by Samsung, the Koreans they still want to monitor the activity of the American company. Probably the combination of a monitoring for Apple and Google would be easier to understand for everyone, although the main target is definitely Apple.

Samsung can hardly convince the governments of other countries to monitor Apple, but in South Korea it can do almost anything it wants, although it remains to be seen whether these actions will affect sales of iDevices.
