Apple Watch - the prices of each model and Apple's earnings

Apple Watch format

Yesterday I found out the first details about Apple Watch price at the time of launch, the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), preparing to offer users no less than 5-6 million units in the initial stock. Of these units, approximately 1 million would be Apple Watch Edition, that is, the gold version, 3 million would be the Sport version, the cheapest, and the remaining 2 million would be the stainless steel version. We know that Apple Watch Sport it will cost $350 at the time of launch, and doing a simple calculation, Apple could collect a little over $1 billion from initial sales.

For Apple Watch in stainless steel we now know that the price would be approximately $1000 at the time of sale, and based on the figures regarding the initial stock, Apple could collect $2 billion. Now if we move on to the Apple Watch Edition and if we assume that the rumors regarding the minimum price of $4000 are true, then Apple could collect $4 billion from the sale of the initial stock. Estimated price it is still lower than others estimated by analysts, some claiming that this model could cost up to $10.000, and in this case Apple's earnings could reach $10 billion.

Apple Watch - prices of each model and sales estimates

If we add up all the estimated amounts for the receipts of each model, we find that the Apple Watch Edition would generate the most money for Apple by selling a much smaller number of units. Apple would manufacture all gold Apple Watches in China, a surprising move considering that no major luxury watch manufacturer assembles any models in this country. For Apple, things are more complicated because it needs a very large number of units for launch and only in China can it find companies with sufficient resources to fulfill its requirements.

Having said that, the Apple Watch is going to be very expensive in the gold version, and Apple will make enormous amounts of money from all the models. If we look at the fact that only 720.000 Android Wear smartwatches were sold in the entire year 2014, and Apple ordered 6 million Apple Watches for the initial fiscal quarter of sales alone, we notice that in Cupertino there is a lot of confidence in this product.
