LG Watch Urbane LTE – the first LTE smartwatch

LG Watch Urbane is a smartwatch that will be presented next week at Mobile World Congress 2015 by company LG, and you can see it in the video clip above. LG Watch Urbane LTE is going to be the first LTE smartwatch available to users, LG implementing a technology Volta for making phone calls. Phone calls work without the need for interconnection with a mobile phone, so we are talking about a feature that can be used anywhere and anytime using only a 4G SIM card on which a voice subscription and VoLTE function is active.

LG Watch Urbane LTE it will run a proprietary LG operating system, so not Android Wear or WebOS, the Asian company avoiding providing information regarding its development or separate functionality. The interesting part of the LG Watch Urbane LTE is that it will offer a 700 mAh battery, significantly larger than the 410 mAh implemented in the LG Watch Urbane, so the LTE functionality will consume a lot of energy. Having said that, the LG Watch Urbane LTE will be presented at the Mobile World Congress by LG, but for now it is not known how much it will cost and the price will certainly be commensurate with the functions offered.

  1. And again the old story of squeezing your brains with the battery. We always have that thought in our mind, do I still have battery for the next call? Pathetic in 2015

  2. If that technology of pedometric charging is implemented, like those watches that move the hand while the watch is pulled, but thinking about the electronic version would be a great invention, but it seems that such a thing is not wanted. As in cars

  3. If you apply a good software on it that flows fluently, my opinion is that it will become the most serious competitor of Apple Watch, especially since the design is more conservative and closer to the watches in the real world.

LG Urbane LTE has three buttons instead of one, as in LG Urbane, and inside it we find a 700 mAh battery necessary to support LTE functionality. […]
