The Swiss compete with the Apple Watch using luxury smartwatches

The Apple Watch will be presented on March 9 and it will generate serious competition for watch manufacturers around the world, so that some of them are already launching products in an attempt to prevent a drop in sales. The Swiss are the first to come to the market with luxury smartwatches, the companies Frederique Constant si Alpina presenting the smart watches from the images above. Although they will have prices of 1000 dollars - 1300 dollars, the smart watches will not have their own screen and will not offer an experience similar to that of another smartwatch that you already know.

Smartwatches will be promoted on the market as being produced in Switzerland, hence the high price, and they will offer a multitude of fitness functions with the help of dedicated sensors. Fullpower Technologies, the company that developed the sensors from Jawbone, Nike Fuelband and other popular fitness bracelets, collaborated with the Swiss for the implementation of these sensors, so we are talking about a complex functionality. As you can see from the images, the smart watches of the Swiss will communicate with various smartphones through dedicated applications, where the information recorded by the sensors will be displayed.

Although they are presented as luxury smartwatches, the Swiss products will not be made of gold and will not have precious stones, instead they will have the Swiss mechanisms so appreciated. Basically we are talking about normal watches that have implemented fitness sensors, a strong brand behind them and a price commensurate with the name of the companies that support them. Having said that, the Swiss did not start the fight with Apple Watch with the most powerful products that could be developed by them, so it is unlikely that they will in any way affect the sales of the future Apple watch.
