MacBook with Retina Display is the name of the newest Mac from the Apple company, it was presented during this evening on the stage of the Apple Watch conference, it being the thinnest and lightest MacBook released by Apple, being also available in a gold version. With a thickness of 13.1mm at its thickest point, the MacBook is 4.1mm, or 24%, thinner than the thinnest MacBook Air released so far by Apple. The entire new MacBook is made exclusively of metal, including the Wi-Fi antennas included in the case, which could be a problem of operation.

MacBook has a completely new keyboard that stretches from one edge to the other of the case, this one having a new mechanism called butterfly, this being produced from a single structure, being 4 times more stable and 40% thinner than the old technologies . The keyboard uses a new lighting system to be easier to use at night and works much easier to touch compared to the old models.
12-inch Retina MacBook
According to all the rumors so far, the MacBook with Retina Display has a 12-inch retina screen with a resolution of 2304 x 1440 pixels, double that of the MacBook Air. The screen panel is only 0.88 millimeters thick, Apple managing to create an extremely thin panel to reduce the dimensions of the product. The panel consumes 30% less energy, and it is supported by a touchpad that can distinguish between touches and presses of the screen.
Force Touch is the technology used by the Apple company and it comes from the Apple Watch, the touchpad having available pressure sensors to distinguish touches from presses. The touchpad no longer clicks, it has a taptic engine and a glass surface, which bends during pressing to provide this functionality. For this new component, Apple has implemented new functions in OS X, so that pressing the touchpad will generate certain actions in various applications.
The new Macbook comes without a fan, with a much smaller motherboard and Intel Core M processors capable of reaching speeds of up to 2.9 GHz in turbo boost. Apple presents this MacBook with Retina Display as the most efficient MacBook in terms of energy, it offers a whole day of autonomy (up to 10 hours of use), the processor consumes only 5W of energy.
The batteries in the new MacBook are "contoured" inside the case, so they take up 35% more space, offering a much better autonomy. For this new Mac, Apple has implemented a USB type-C connector, so that it replaces the connectors: HDMI, USB, display port, VGA or the charging one, Apple also offering a dedicated cable.
MacBook with Retina Display will be available in the following colors: silver, space gray and gold. The MacBook with Retina Display will be released on April 10 at a starting price of $1299 or 1299 euros.
