Apple removes Jawbone and Nike fitness bracelets from sale

Jawbone

The launch of the Apple Watch causes the Apple company to remove from sale the fitness bracelets of Jawbone and Nike to make way for its new product that offers a series of functions similar to those of this type of accessories. The action of those from Apple is not at all surprising, the American company used to withdraw from its stores products that compete with what it offers for sale. A similar case happened last year when products Bose have been removed from sale in Apple Stores, the Apple company still bringing them back for customers a few months later.

Apple has removed competing fitness bands from its retail stores as the company prepares to ship its own wearable, the Apple Watch. Checks of major stores in San Francisco, Palo Alto, Los Angeles and New York reveal that Apple no longer carries such popular bands as the Jawbone Up and the Nike+ FuelBand, both activity-tracking wristbands.

In the case of Jawbone and Nike, things will most likely be different because we are talking about two products that offer functions that are already incorporated in the Apple Watch and are much cheaper than the Apple product. There is a possibility that Apple will stop selling them in the coming months to keep the Apple Watch in the spotlight, but of course no one knows what the true intentions of the Americans are. That said, Jawbone and Nike fitness bands are available for purchase from a multitude of other stores, so you don't have to worry about running out of them.
