Basically we are talking about almost or over two billion cumulative downloads on all the platforms on which the application is available, it has over 700 million monthly active users, so more than half of those who have downloaded the application still use it.
The interesting part is that the team that develops WhatsApp Messenger for Android consists of only 4 engineers, so we are talking about an extraordinary achievement made with minimal costs in terms of employees. Facebook bought WhatsApp Messenger for over 19 billion dollars last year and the investment seems to be very auspicious considering that we are talking about an extremely large number of people who have installed and use the application.
