Yesterday I saw a first video clip in which Apple Watch has been tested under water to see how well it resists during a swimming session or in the case of a simple shower. Today, however, we have another type of resistance test, an important American publication wanting to find out how well it resists Apple Watch in case of accidents that could happen in the kitchen.
Everything starts with a small test in the sink and in a pot with a little water, the watch having no problems in resisting these conditions, but we already knew that from yesterday. If in these conditions Apple Watch Sport it was not destroyed, it was the time of a test with the grater, this in case a housewife would like to put some plastic or glass in the soup she serves.
Fortunately, the scraper is not able to destroy the protective panel X-ion of the Apple Watch Sport, knives or other types of sharp objects being equally powerless in front of the Apple product. To the same extent, neither wine, mustard, peanut butter, or Nutella are able to change the color of the fluoroelastomer strap, the watch itself not being affected in any way.
Moving on to the boiling test, Apple Watch it closed after a few minutes due to the high temperature, displaying a warning in this regard, iOS acting as it always does when the operating temperature exceeds normal values. The interesting part of this test is that although the watch closed, the fluoroelastomer strap did not change its shape, despite the very high temperature.
In the end, we have two equally tough tests, the first considering dropping and throwing the Apple Watch from the table to see how well it resists falling, in this situation everything unfolded without problems. Unfortunately, the last test was also the one that destroyed the watch, a solid metal pan being "dropped" over the front panel, which cracked immediately.
However, the resistance of the ion-X panel is surprising, and this is because the other day I saw a test in which the same front panel does not withstand as well in similar conditions. In conclusion, the Apple Watch Sport is much more resistant than initially thought and this is gratifying for normal users.
