Facebook is the most popular social network on the globe, and for the near future it is preparing a major change regarding the notification system of mobile applications. More precisely, those from Facebook intend to offer users a system similar to the one designed by Google for Google Now in order to provide a better user experience.

In this idea, those from Facebook intends to use our account information to provide us with various notifications depending on the areas we are in or the time of day. By activating them, we will see information about friends near our locations, details about the pictures taken by them in certain areas or the places appreciated by them, but that's not all.

Popular topics on Facebook and important news will be used to provide us with location-based notifications, so we will quickly know if a celebrity is around, or if an important accident has occurred. Facebook will use 8 large categories of information for the new system, these will be announced in the future, they being combined to improve our experience of using the network.

Of course we will have total control over how information is used to give us notifications in iOS, so we will only see alerts for what we want. Of course, everything could become too intrusive for certain users, but using the Facebook social network implies giving up privacy right from the start.

For now, it is not known how long it will take until Facebook implements these innovations in its applications that allow the use of the social network, but we know something for sure about the way it works. In Android, Facebook will display much more information in a much more complex way than in iOS, the operating system of those from Apple being extremely limited in terms of the use of systems of this kind.
