CBS is excited about Apple's new TV streaming service

Les MoonvesCBS is excited about its new TV streaming service Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),, the CEO of the famous media trust making this statement in an interview given during this day. Although it is not yet known when the TV streaming service will be launched, those from CBS are excited to be part of the list of the first partners that the American company will announce when the system is launched.

Les Moonves is the name of the CEO of CBS and for now he has announced that he will probably sign a contract with Apple to provide content and provide access to live TV broadcasts. The CBS CEO has already met with Eddy Cue, the senior vice president who heads Apple's internet services division, to discuss a possible partnership, but it remains to be seen how long it will take until all the documents are signed.

Apple's proposed TV service may take a while to get ready, but it looks like it will include CBS when it launches. CBS CEO Les Moonves says his network will "probably" sign a deal with Apple to carry his network. "We're very excited about it," he told Kara Swisher at the Code Conference Wednesday morning. Moonves said that he met with Apple media boss Eddy Cue last week to discuss Apple's plans, as part of an "ongoing conversation."

The whole discussion at the moment is based on the amount of money that the Apple company is going to pay to CBS for the rights to broadcast its TV programs and series on the Internet. If the lawyers of the two companies will not reach an agreement regarding the financial compensation for access to the content, then there is little chance that CBS will sign an agreement soon, but it remains to be seen how the discussions will evolve.

Despite the fact that now CBS seems willing to conclude a partnership with Apple, this media trust is only one of those in the US that should enter into a partnership with Apple for everything to be successful.
