Steve Jobs Bill GatesSteve Jobs and Bill Gates were collaborators until they became the biggest competitors, Jobs repeatedly accusing Gates of stealing some Apple technologies. Despite these things, in the end Bill Gates saved the Apple company from bankruptcy during the 90s, this restored the friendship between the two, but the collaboration between them did not continue, despite the help offered.

Because both former company presidents have changed the world we live in so much, the National Geographic television channel is going to start a series of documentaries from the American Genius series with an episode that presents the two. According to those who make the documentary, the episode will follow the evolution of the two until the end of the 80s, so we will not see the relationships from the recent period.

The Jobs vs. Gates rivalry goes back to the late 1960s and early 1970s when the modern computer was just getting its start. "American Genius" features reenactments of the two young men dropping out of college on their dueling quests to invent personal computers and software. Jobs is portrayed as a dreamy hippie turned hard-nosed businessman, while Gates is shown as a driven programming nerd. The show follows their pursuit up through the 1980s.

American Genius will start on June 1 with the episode that will present Bill Gates and Steve Jobs, those from National Geographic will also present the stories of other great company leaders. Although National Geographic has prepared a whole series of interesting episodes, it remains to be seen how successful they will be since they will follow such an important one.
