Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), canceled the launch Apple TV 4 scheduled for WWDC 2015, the change of plans taking place in the middle of last month, the Apple company realizing that the product is not ready for launch. According to those who know details about the decision made by Apple in relation to Apple TV 4, the product was not well developed enough to be offered to consumers, so Apple decided to avoid a public humiliation.
Apple was supposed to release an Apple TV 4 with a touch remote control and an SDK which allows the installation of applications and games from a dedicated App Store, but it seems that this software will not be available for developers either. Since Apple made the decision to cancel the release, it's clear that the Apple TV 4 still has quite a few issues that need to be worked out, or that the software isn't yet ready to do everything it's rumored to do.
The company planned as recently as mid-May to use the event to spotlight new Apple TV hardware, along with an improved remote control and a tool kit for developers to make apps for the entertainment device. But those plans were postponed partly because the product was not ready for prime time, according to two people briefed on the product.
Apple has never provided details about its plans for the release of Apple TV 4, and will not do so publicly until the product is actually ready for official release. In fact, it was hard to believe that Apple will launch Apple TV 4 since its TV streaming service will not be available until next year, so probably many people expected this decision.
