iPhone 6S - Apple wants to increase the screen resolution

iPhone 6S new screen resolutioniPhone 6S with Full HD resolution and iPhone 6S Plus with 2K resolution were announced a few weeks ago by a rumor that appeared in Asia thanks to some local sources. At that time he seemed a little credible, but it seems that the basis is Apple's initiative to increase the resolution of its future terminals iPhone 6S si 6S iPhone Plus, but there are quite small chances of this happening due to production problems.

At the moment Apple is analyzing the possibility of using an old type of touch panel for iPhone 6S screen, Apple considering abandoning the in-cell technology for the G/G technology that would be easier to produce.

At the moment, the in-cell technology generates big problems for the production of high resolution screens for iPhone terminals, this could be the main reason why the iPhone 6S could have the iPhone 6 resolution.

Apple is in discussions over whether to go back to G/G glass instead of in-cell technology for future iPhone devices as the technology currently is struggling with various production bottlenecks that are preventing Apple from adding new features as well as increasing resolutions, according to supply chain sources.

Apple's partners are trying to produce new types of touch panels to allow Apple to implement Full HD resolution in the iPhone 6S and 2K resolution in the iPhone 6S Plus, without increasing the thickness of the component and implicitly the terminals.

These G/G touch panels would allow Apple to eliminate the side edges, bezel, of the front panels, the in-cell panels having too much sensitivity on the edges, affecting the experience of using applications.

Touch panel makers are aiming to create G/G touch panels that would allow Apple to create smartphones similar in thickness to current iPhones equipped with in-cell touch panels. G/G touch panels may also help Apple develop bezel-free smartphones as in-cell touch panels are reportedly struggling with touch sensitivity on the edges.

Basically, Apple would like to increase the resolution of the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus screens, but its partners are struggling to produce the components that would support this very important technological advance, but difficult to achieve at the moment.

If Apple does not increase the screen resolution of its terminals this year, there are chances that iPhone 7 to come with a higher resolution screen, a change in resolution being much more logical in 2016 than in 2015.
